This study investigates the nature of bilingual language control by comparing performance in sentence production to single word production. Using the blocked language order paradigm, we will examine whether producing sentences requires different language control processes than when producing single words. Native Greek speakers who are proficient in English will perform a network description task in their first language (L1) in Blocks 1 and 3, and a picture naming or sentence production task in their second language (L2) in Block 2.
