Teaching and scholarly activities for post-graduate and undergraduate programmes: construction management, quantity surveying, architectural design, renewable technology, civil engineering, the environment and security.

Research
Currently active in three strands of research: environmental and sustainability issues; management and leadership, including topical construction management and project management issues with a focus on Building Information Modelling; and teaching and learning.

1993 – 2001 HM Forces (Reserve)
71 Royal Engineer Regiment - plant management and demolitions; transferred to local specialist infantry unit, D Sqn, at Invergowrie in 1997 to provide specialist logistic support and member of the Recruit Training Team until 2001.
