Personal profile
I am a practising computer artist with over 13 years of commercial games experience with some of the biggest names in the industry including Rock Star North, Gameloft, Ubisoft and Tag Games.
I have worked on quite a few highly acclaimed games, including Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, the GTA series, Rocksmith and Disney Magic Kingdom (on mobile). I continue to work closely with industry professionals on emerging trends and cutting-edge art practices.
My research interests include advanced automated character pipelines in contemporary media and video games, professional pedagogy for teaching and learning and digital sculpting and surfacing.
As well as lecturing on art and animation for the BA (Hons) programme, I teach future game developers in China as part of Abertay’s Master of Professional Practice in Games Development Orientation Programme.
Teaching
Gordon is a lecturer in Computer Arts who contributes to the delivery of animation, technical art, professional project and mentoring fourth year research projects.
