My academic background is Physiology and Pharmacology, but I also hold vocational qualifications in exercise and fitness. 

I’ve previously worked as a Peripatetic Lecturer for the British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation and designed exercise teaching qualifications for Bradford and Leeds Metropolitan Councils.

Prior to that, I worked as a researcher in the Department of Child Health at Ninewells Hospital – where I was involved in studying the regulation of fluid transport in the neo-natal lung – and as a Research Chemist. 

My research interests are focused on Neurophysiology including Motor Control and Disorders of Movement.

I hold a degree in Physiology and Pharmacology from Dundee University and a degree in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen.  

My exercise and fitness qualifications include Loughborough’s Advanced Fitness Training Course and RSA Applied Anatomy and Physiology for Dancers.
