Abstract

While biometrics are beginning to enter the mainstream, user acceptance issues have not yet been fully resolved. In the financial sector, particularly in the self-service environment, there are many challenges to overcome and more research is needed to ensure that the technology is universally usable, especially by the elderly members of society.
