Abstract

Modern web applications are often blind towards attacker activities and leave developers in the dark on whether the existing defences are effective. This lack of security visibility results from defences solely focusing on preventing security issues.

In this blog article, a brief introduction is given on how attack awareness can augment existing preventive defences with detection capabilities to reveal ongoing attacker activities.
