Abstract

In recent years, countries are beginning to recognize the serious threats to the natural environment. Due to constant reliance on electricity and computer emissions, businesses are escalating the already dire situation and doubling global carbon emissions. In order to maintain a competitive edge in the future, companies are now facing severe pressures to adopt environmentally friendly policies and procedures. It has become critical for businesses to protect the environment, and in response of these pressures, they have started using different processes to address environmental concerns. Keeping all the challenges in view, current research aimed at contributing in exploring the role of green transformational leadership (GTL) in enhancing green creativity (GC). Moreover, green human resource management (GHRM) was hypothesized as a mediator in the relationship between green transformational leadership (GTL) and green creativity (GC). The services sector in Oman was the focus of the study by involving 207 participants through questionnaire-based survey method. The study employed Structural Equation Modeling through (Smart PLS) software to conduct empirical analysis. The results exhibited that green transformational leadership has a positive and significant impact on green creativity. Furthermore, the hypothesized mediation of green HRM was also confirmed in the empirical results. The findings offer useful insights especially for the managers and services-based enterprises which may be further helpful for the innovation process. Future research can emphasis on the proposed relationship in other Gulf countries and consider longitudinal settings.
