Abstract
Sustainable business practices and the quest to achieve the triple bottom line have affected how vineyards operate in the wine industry. Huia Vineyards is one of New Zealand's earliest examples of a winery that follows sustainable business practices. Its success and economic growth are in large part due to its commitment to its employees and to developing a vineyard that has a reduced environmental impact. Additionally, Huia's long-term pledge to these principles enabled them to better weather the 2008 global economic crisis.
