Abstract

In this chapter, we focus on the broader implications for cultural organizations seeking social impact in the coming years and decades. What can be learned from the past in terms of intent, implementation, and results? What kinds of processes and measurable outcomes can we imagine for the future? How can we make progress toward creating new opportunities for artists and cultural organizations focused on delivering social impact? Much of the content in this chapter is based on ideas, opinions, and priorities expressed by leaders of cultural organizations around the world via surveys and interviews.
