Abstract

An automated teller machine (ATM) is provided with means for accessing an information resource, the information resource containing information pertinent to a particular geographical location and output means for providing information loaded from the accessed information resource to a user. Hence the ATM may be used as a source of local information such as tourist information, local events, attractions etc. Maps may be downloaded to mobile devices or printed off using the ATM printer.
