    Abstract

The incidence of high-profile crises in the sports sector increases the importance of the relatively under researched topic of crisis management in non-profit sport organisations. This study aims to understand and investigate the relationship between crisis responsibility and organizational reputation, using team leadership as a potential mediator. Team leadership, crisis communication and organisational reputation were assessed in an empirical study based on a sample of 202 board members operating in non-profit sport organisations in the UK.
